Though many may say no, I declare the answer as a yes.

A tattoo reflects nothing towards the person wearing the tattoo. Even though you may say such, that this person enjoys pain, or likes mutilation, you are not sure of the reasoning for the tattoo. Therefore, the tattoo is distinct from what your reasoning may be. Can anyone tell my why I have three tattoos, or why I recieved each one? If so, I would love to hear why.

With such a thought, how can anyone judge that the person with a tattooed sleeve can not work with other people in any field. Tattoos are merely images placed upon the skin with ink. I do recall that a certain infamously famous person once begged that we not be judged by the color of our skin but by the content of our character. Where does this separation then lie, if we ignore his wish? Those who feel intimidated by tattoos, I must ask why. Where do you feel threatened? More than a quarter of the youth of America are pierced or tattoed. Is tattooing merely for our soldiers or felons? What a hypocritical society we are engaged in if we still judge by skin-deep condition.

I truly doubt that a person would choose a certain store over a competitor if said competitor hired tattooed persons. This argument I hold to be equal no matter the region or establishment.

No, the person who have a tattoo had them by personal choice and it is the boss or company that decides that tattoos are not allowed to be seen by the public.

It is funny who people can forget that a tattoo is not a shirt who can be thrown away when you don't like it. My wife has tattoos and she likes them but she has them in places where she doesn't have to see them all the time.

I knew a guy who used to make tattoos and he always told other people to make their first tattoo in a place they cannot see like their backs, shoulders... because some of his customers ended up hating the tattoos they had paid for not so long ago.

EWWWWW.....Don't do it, they are trashy.... JUST KIDDING. I think wrist tattoos can be really cute. Just be sure that you get a nice font that will not look too cramped for such a small space. I like the phrase, especially because it means something to you! Maybe you could get it in another language if you don;t want people to look and know exactly what it means. (Although, people would probably still ask you what it means...) Good luck getting back to the old you!

I think they should but they won't .I wear a suit to work but my bosses have seen my arm's and I know for a fact I will never be allowed to wear any thing other than long sleeves. If I could only turn back time and know what I know now..

No they shouldnt. Customer service requires that people feel comfortable and non-threatened by the person providing that service........and wearing a tatt is proof that you dont mind pain AND flaunt it. Thats ok outside the workplace but not when you are paid to give the best impression on behalf of your employer.

The thing is...you have a choice where you choose to place a design...so anyone serious about a career would be aware of that and place it somewhere easily hidden.

i think the absence of tattoos in a person signifies a sense of neatness and clean records. so i guess tattoos should be at least minimized, or the tolerance is to be minimzed

I don't believe employers should be creating problems over tattoos as long as they can be covered during working hours.
