I believe in soul mates and that it is possible to have more than one in life. Love at first sight...yes, I have heard of people that experienced this. I was with a girlfriend the night she met her "soul mate," and I remember telling her, "Pay attention. This one is special." They dated, married, and have lived in Hawaii for over 25 years now.

i do believe in love at first sight, and soul mates. When I was married to my first husband, I met the man that I am married to now. We worked together, and I liked him back then, but did not know if he liked me or not. We were both married, and were just friends. We talked at work, but then both left for different jobs. I thought about him every once in a while, wondered where he was, and what he was up to. Well, 8 years after that I got a divorce, and had almost forgot that he even existed, until a friend of mine and I stopped at a store that we had never been in before, just out of the blue, and he was shopping in there. Well, he was divorced now too, and now it has been 3 years, and we have two kids together and could not be happier.. turns out he did like me too...

I believe in soul mates. Not so much love at first sight - my own opinion - b/c I think you have to build up to that point. Take it slow and really get to know each other. Not so much have be so concerned that "Oh I found the love of my life!!" And that's a great thing for you if you do.

I do believe in love at first sight, but my take is that it is a biological reaction that has nothing to do with how well two people suit each other. I know the only person for whom I felt an instant and overwhelming reaction was so totally wrong for me that had we been together, it would damage us both. I believe what makes a relationship work has more to do with mutual respect and a wish to make things work, rather than the initial attraction, no matter how total it feels.
