With Christams only a few more months away, I figured that would be some what of the best time to ask the girl of my dreams to marry me. I have the ring picked out (have to pick it up) and everything else pritty much aranged, now I just need to figure out a clever, yet sweet way of asking her. When we talked about it awhile ago, she said a sweet way would be to tie the ring around a new puppy or kittens neck, then give that to her, and I thought about it, but figured sence she thought of that, she might be expecting it... Any ideas would be nice...

Youre right, I try not to tell my husband specific things like that, because i'd rather be surprised... He proposed to me on christmas eve in the parking lot of a mall... he just pulled out the ring and said, "just say yes." Sure, it wasn't the proposal of my dreams, but it worked and if she's worth marrying it won't matter how you ask, as long as you do... and let her now that part about her being the girl of your dreams!!! That's sweet!!!

Buy some wine glass jewelry, the little rings that fit around the stem of a glass so you can indentify your glass.Put the wine glasses with the jewelry on them at each place setting. Put the ring around the jewelry on her wine glass. When the family sits down for dinner, you can all see her reaction when you pour the dinner wine, or sparkling apple cider. Go over to her and get down on your knee, and tell her that you love her and wanted to ask her in front of all the people you love if she would do you the honor of marrying you. Make sure you look her in the eye and the rest will come naturally. Reminder: Ask the parents for their blessing before you ask your girlfriend to marry you on Christmas day, that way the parents will be impressed that you asked them first. Put the ring (with a red ribbon tied on it) on top of the Christmas tree, in place of the typical star or angel that you or she would normally put there. Then, as you two gather to open gifts, call to her attention how bright the ornament is on top of the Christmas tree. She'll look up and see the ring. You then remove it from the top of the tree, get down on your knees and say, "Merry Christmas, sweetheart. Will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?" or ... "Will you be my Mrs. Claus?"

being Christmas and all, your going to generally want to arrange it as some sort of gift ordeal. Maybe put the box in the tree like an ornament, or, I don't know, cook her pancakes and put the ring in the pancakes and hope she notices it in there before swallowing it.
But seriously, being Christmas, the gift theme is a good one.

Give her a full bloom rose and ask her to search the petals for a surprise, or give her a glass of champagne with the ring taped in its bottom (so she doesn't swallow it) and ask her to save a sip for so she'll be watching the contents of the glass.

I would buy a stuffed kitten or puppy and put the ring around it's neck with a note that says "this entitles _________ (girlfriend's name) to her choice of a kitten or puppy and we will shop together for it. And by the way, will you marry me?"

I love the idea of opening a bottle of champagne and (ahead of time you put her ring in her flute) toasting each other's happiness. Then she discovers the ring, and you propose on bended knee. How romantic!
However you do it, she will always remember it! Best wishes.

tie the ring into a ball of mistletoe, gt her underneath it for the customary kiss, and get her to look up. after you take the ring down for her, do the whole bended knee thing and tell her youll never ask santa for another thing if she would be your wife.

You can write it out in the snow if it snows where you're from, or put it in a big box with a lot of smaller boxes inside, if you're really hairy you can shave "Marry Me" in your back...lol, I saw that once it was hilarious!
