depends if you're looking for just a blog, or more of a social community.
if a social community, definitely myspace or facebook if you're a college student (although they are talking about opening it to the public soon.)
if you're looking for just a blog, mindsay is my personal favorite. i've used it religously for two years.
there's also blogger, xanga, livejournal and diaryland just to name a few
