Using MS Outlook, go to "insert" "file", next to the paperclip then browse to the file click it and it will insert.

When you compose an email it is at the bottom of the send button it will say attachment press that and then press browse then pick what you want to attach

Most email programs such as yahoo and google offer the possibility to do that very simply.
Once you have finishes editing (typing), you go attach file; you either put the file name in the space or click on browse, you choose the location, then the file (such as in My documents ...etc), you finally have to click on the file you have chosen.

Whatever program u r using(yahoomail,outlook or hotmai) it will have an option attach file or attachment or insert.just click on that then browse ur file and attach.

I'm afraid that this is a loaded question. One needs to know what you are using for an email client (For Example, AOL, Yahoo, Hot mail, Outlook Express, Outlook, etc.
There are differences between them all.
