I have not eaten steak for a long period of time and when I eat it from time to time, I get cramping and diarrhea like stool.

I am vegetarian. If there is meat in the food someone cooks for me, it makes me sick. My system can no longer take it. That may be the same for your case. Red meat isthe hardest to digest so be careful. Check with your doctor for the best answer to your particular problem.

meat may not be causing it, but it is cause for alarm.

Diarrhea can become very serious very quick due to dehydration...which if you already have low blood pressure, would make anything warmer than lukewarm showers feel like you'll pass out and vomit all at the same time (experience).

watch for your pulse...if it gets above about 85-90 per minute, you need to get hydrated, fast!!!!

While keeping hydrated, drink lots of water, but don't eliminate your salt, as salt is a major electrolyte. (if you decide to eliminate salt and hate drinking water, get some koolaid, gingerale, sprite, or gatorade!).

As far as cramping, that sounds like IBS.
You should really talk to a doctor about all that.

If you aren't good at digesting certain foods, stay away from them.
I'm vegan, so I don't necessarily think the diarrhea is directly due to eating the meat (typically it will stop a person up, unless there's an obstruction, which causes only liquidy stuff to get past the obstruction, making diarrhea....this is also very serious because it can cause some pretty bad issues in your bowels...among other things being appendicitis.).

recommend getting it checked out by a doctor!!!!!!!
this advice does not take precidence over seeing a PhD!

All plant foods have plenty of fiber if it has not been taken out. No animal foods have any fiber so diarrhea is a good way to get out that waste. Also it has 9 times the pesticides in produce. See site below to make sure you are not missing anything plus you can read how the American Heart Assoc. says people should not eat more than 6 oz daily of meat, fish or poultry. No minimum which means eating none is fine.
