I won't be starting residency til June 2007, what can I do in the meantime to make money? i don't have a license yet! Can I work as a medical asst? any other options???

you can work for tissue collection services. I knew a med student who was on call for tissue harvesting.

grim job but it pays A LOT. You basically harvest tissues from cadavers at the morgue.

Other jobs to consider...
clinical assistant (to help with medical trials)
pharmaceutical sales (lots of dough there.)
nutritionist (certification is EASY)

You could teach at college or something. I think you'd be more than qualified! That's better than medical asst. Good luck, hopefully I'll (and my brother) be at the same point as you soon enough!

How about a paramedic? Or perhaps get a very different perspective by working as an aid in a nursing home. Or an orderly in a hospital.

princeton review or kaplan... there's always spots for MCAT/USMLE teachers (assuming you did well). And they pay pretty well (at least 20 an hour i think). Only thing is I don't believe they are full time, so you may have to find something else to do until then.
