The way the French played in the final against Italy was the worst display of dirty soccer that I have ever seen. The French were elbowing, kicking and head butting. They were using every dirty trick in the book .I usually do not support a team trying the send the game into PK's and then winning the championship that way but I made the exception for Italy because they were fighting for their lives against the French dirty attacks.

Love their players like forward Henry, Trezeguet, Anelka, and Cisse (of course with Papin and Fontaine as the legendary players). I am glad that Henry and Trezeguet have been doing great, and Cisse will soon to return to the lineup. I also like the defence line-up with Blanc, LeBeuf, Deschamps (M), Petit, and Lizurazu in the past, and Vieira (M), Makelele (M), Gallas, Thuram, and Sangnol as the current defensive players. Of course, the mid-field with retired Zidane, Djorkaeff, and non-selected winger Pires (Oh with the Legend Platini as well), is what I like the most.
The best time, of course, was when they embarassed Barsil in a 3-0 win ar Stade de France, and 2-1 golden goal win in Euro 2000. We were disappointed in 2002, but the players deserved the early exit because of their arrogance. In 2006, again, they kicked some asses, especially some CARIOCA Asses. I was really happy.
Funny thing, Fench already defeated Brasil in their third consective meeting in the world cup (86, 98, and 06). Ha, make it four in 2010.
But first thing first, let's beat the crap out of Scotland first.

first off, let me say i'm not french and where i'm from there's no football tradition to speak of as my country is poor and supporting a resource-intensive sport such as football is an indulgence we can barely afford. but i love sports and football is the best there is so i watch as many games as i can and i try to learn everyting about it. i support the french team bec. i like their game best and bec. i've always admired and respected zidane. i'm very passionate about my team and i think the best proof is coming in here to answer your Q knowing it's a set-up and i'll probably be ridiculed, insulted and maligned just like the rest of the french fans who've posted before me. it's ok, to each his own but i just wondered...could you ever be fair?
