ok...i've been doing a bunch of sit-ups and crunches with weights on my chest(since i can do like 300 situps w/o weights and it just starts hurting my back) plus, i do that one exercise were you hold on to something and hold your legs up and do scissors and other stuff like that, but they all seem to be working the top part of my chest, not the bottom (where my belly button is). Not only do i only see the top part of my chest getting abs, it's also the only part that really feels sore after working out everyother day, so im sure it's not doing anything down there.

So my question is, how do you work the lower abs?? please explain in detail the workout that you have to do. thanks.

ok, yah, i know i'm a girl, but seriously this work out works like... totally for the abs, they are called "pike ups" you have to do them in diving, and so, what you do is lay flat on your back on the ground with your toes pointed and your hands stretched out about your head, and then you lift both legs together, and lift your arms and then touch your toes, so then your reaching up for them. once you do that, bring them both back down, then repeat... it works really well... a bit too well on me, but i'm not sure which abs they work for, lower or higher... but it definitely works... and if you wanna be really buff, do like... 50 of them in a row, and 3 sets of them. ... i have to do 3 sets of 20, but i cheat cause i dont wanna be too buff...

thats one of the hardest one to work try doing leg lifts, jus lay on your back n lift your leg not 2 high though n make sure only your abs are the ones lifting your legs n the longer you do it u might feel pain on your back it just means that your lower back is curb n not straight, your lower back has to be flat on the floor n you will feel your lower abs burn or you jus do the crunches not sit-ups wit your legs up and arms up so it like your touching your toes while your flat on the ground. try 50 for beginning depending on much you can do every other day

Pretty much the same muscle (group of muscles) add a little more variety to your workouts...crunches work your hip flexors more than abs...get your body fat below 10%

maybe u should stretch first, and do warmups to avoid the strain. so by the time u've started the sit ups, your body would have been pumped uo already.
