I know they used kohl, or something like that for eyeliner.
And probably berrries for dyes for lips.
*thinks back* I actually did a report on this a longggg time ago.
They used lead based powder later which killed women.
Yeah...I'm not helpful.

I know you can take cork and burn the edge and use the blackened part for eyeliner...I saw it on tv once, but I don't know if this was a technique that was every really used back-in-the-day.
