There is NO spam report on Yahoo msgr feature for mac users. If you have PC, don't bother because you do not know what it is like. Yahoo msgr for PC is far ahead than it is for Mac. What I have is so old fashioned... no picture, no fancy stuff. It is what you had from 3 or 4 years ago. Old fashioned and ugly. There is no message archive. This is the latest messenger for iMac. Do not ask me to download the same one again. If you have PC... please do not assume. I used to have PC... I know the difference.

The person has probably changed IDs but kept the same "friendly name".
You can prevent any stranger from "chatting" with you by going to "Preferences", "Privacy", switch to "Ignore List" tab and then select the "Ignore anyone who is not on my messenger list."
