Strange files MCE0000x?

I have started to find sub-directories called MCE0000x in my \temp directory. They all contain two files MCE0000x.CDD and .MCE0000x.MLD. These are "in use" so won't delete. There are now hundreds of them for no apparent reason. I have McAfee AV in use so probably not a virus.

I'd run Spybot Search and Destroy, just to check if it is a virus, never trust one anti virus programme.

I have spy bot it searches and destroys it all
