No. Gaining power over other persons is on the blood(or DNA) of the humans and in a great number of other animals on this planet
You get power by fighting in different fronts like in a literal war or in a economical or political one.
World Peace is impossible because "peace" is not a business.

In a Biblical point of view, there will never be world peace, because murder has been around from the time Cain killed his brother Abel, and it will end in the last chapter of the Bible Revelations/Apocalypse. Jesus Himself said that the peace he gives is not the way the world expects it to be. Jesus gives his peace within ourselves united with him.

World peace? No way, the governments will never allow that to happen. Then there'll be no excuses for asking for huge budgets (for defense purposes, which they will use for other means), defence industry and all industries related to it will be out of business, no more by-products (used commercially) that will come out from research and development from the defence industry (zippo lighters, velco, bullet proof vests etc)
