I tried out a cheap nail polish two months ago, and it turned my fingernails pale orange! I can hide it with nail polish, but I can't think of how to get rid of the orange color unless I wait for my fingernails to grow out, which could take another 3 months or more. Help?

Try lemons. Or take a not so abbrasive nail embry board and buff your nails. It will take off the top layer of the stain and leave a nice fresh nail underneath. Don't do this too often because it will make your nails thin.

First let your nails soak in some water then scrub them real good. Next buff them with one of those buffer that have 3 steps... rough, med & soft. That should help very much. Then, in the future, always keep a clear basecoat of nail polish on before you try new polish because that will stop the dye from getting into your nails.

Try peroxide. It gets stains out from under my nails. I'm talking about the growth of my fingernails on the end of my nails.

Try buffing your nails. Chances are that it's only the top layer that's been discoloured. And for future reference, always, and I mean always, use a base coat before applying a coloured polish.

i work with manicurists, they have told me to use lemon juice. i do hair professionally, so my nails are stained constantly. i haven't tried it because it's pretty much pointless, they'll get stained again the next day anyway.
