Unfortuanately, I think both of these are the majority of love relationships.
For me, I'd rather be with the one who loves me. Someone will always love someone more, and I feel that I am strong enough to let that person love me without trampling on their heart or taking advantage of them. Hence, this means I'm a good guy not a bad boy.
It's hard to be faithful because you know that they would do alot more for you than them, but you do it because after dating enough, you realize a good thing when you see it. If this person is willing to do so much for you and love you, then I think it's best to let them.
This is just my opinion. I do know a few people who are truly in love with one another at age 60, but it is rare. I know if I am loved that I am takin care of. To find the remaining love I might need then I can find that in myself, in a higher power, my friends, family, or co-workers.
I just make sure that this person who loves me, is both mentally and sexually stimulating, otherwise I would move on.
Hope that's not too grim an answer. Just being honest.

I'd rather be with the one who loves me but I don't love him back. Because in time, if he keeps on demonstrating his love for me; I'll reciprocate and learn to love him in return. On the other hand, if I choose to be with the man I love; I have to constantly prove to him the depth of my love. And even then, I won't be sure that I'll succeed. I can not trust him enough to be faithful to me. And I'll always wonder in the back of my head if I made the right decision. So even if this is a quagmire and a difficult choice to make, I'll abide by my first decision. That is, I'd rather be with the man who loves me dearly. It's a good feeling to be wanted, desired and above all loved unconditionally.

WOW, that's a really really good question. I think I'd rather be with the one that I don't love, to spare the pain, but I don't want them to be in pain either :( But if they loved me and wanted to be with me and that made them okay, then that's good. I couldn't stand being with the one I loved knowing they didn't love me, that pain is so unbearable and awful. Props to you though for the very good question!! Tough choice!!

I have been with both. The one who loves you but you don't love back is much better.

ordinarily i'd say the one i love but doesnt love me back, but then that would just leave me with a broken heart. i would have to say the one that loves me but that i dont love them back. i'd rather be loved than to love because it's better that way, when you have someone that loves you. im still young for love (im 18), but i am in a similar situation with like. i met this guy last year at the carols who really like me and kissed me and all, but i didnt really like him in that way. i saw him more like a friend than anything, but the thought of being liked by someone played an impact on me because at the time i was a bit intoxicated and i thought the guy was sweet and plus i was told that he liked me, so knowing that made me kiss him back. the only problem is that when i was sober, i realised i had feelings for him. i havnt really done anything about those feelings, with the exception of the next time i saw him (i kissed him and he kissed me back), though i've only seen him twice. i could tell by the way he kissed me that he still liked me, but now im unsure. i really like him, but i dont know if he still likes me. though i was told by my gay friend that one of his friends (my gay friend's friend) flirted with the guy i like. i guess what im trying to say is that i liked the guy more knowing that he liked me. it may b a little different in terms of love because some people would do anything when they're in love, and that can be quite scary because the feeling may not be reciprocated but at the same time i know that i'd feel much better knowing that im loved by someone rather than me loving someone.

someone here is getting screwed, but I'd rather be the one that someone loves me but I don't love them back. I'll feel loved and it'll be cute.

They both suck, but I guess I'd rather be loved. It's better than feeling trapped with someone who will never love you for who you are.

Definitely the one I love because I don't lead people on or waste their time. If I don't like you, I'm not going to be with you.
