You raise the Videocards Processor Core speed and memory speed.
Whether it be to get a few more frames per second in a game or to brag about higher benchmark scores.

Simple really.

Hi. It pertains to setting the GPU to a higher than stock clock speed. Some cards can O/C quite nicely. Push till it breaks up then back off a bit.

He is right. Overclocking can be dangerous you can fry your card or cpu and be out $. Processors can be overclocked like AMD but not Pentium. Your best bet is buy an Sli motherboard and throw dual cards in it. I use the 7800 GTX card by Nvidia. I run 2 of them together on Sli board. I can turn up too any setting on any game. Bullet casing on the floor and all. The GT is nice but GTX comes already clocked to fastest speed.

Some cards allow you to change the core speeds of both the video GPU and memory.

Same concept as overclocking a processor, but doing it to the GPU instead... careful though, you can screw it up if you overclock it too much.
