Yes, I always make sure that I choose the best answers for the questions that I post. Only one question had been put to the vote, and it was earlier on when I had just found this site and did not know how things worked!
Some people put in a lot of effort when answering. They spend time, energy and research for suitable websites for references when appropriate. It is only fair that I, in turn, read their answers carefully and award the BA to the answer that best addresses the issues raised. Even when the answers are way off the mark, I still award the BA, but with the lowest of ratings.
Would you let your questions go to the vote?

I almost always (99% of the time) award a best answer.
Occasionally, I post a Q that I don't like any of the answers to, either they are way off target or not amusing, then I let it go to a vote.

If I really don't think there's a best answer I'll let it go to voting, but I like to pick one if I can.

I only choose an answer that comes closest to answering my question. Any that gives personal opinions, when I am looking for facts, are ignored.

I don't connect too much weight to it but of course I like it when a clear cut choice stands out otherwise too many good answers or bad answers i'll leave it to a vote

I gave up asking questions. Most of the time it wouldn't let me pick for some reason. It wasn't even in voting. Eh, whatever.

I like to pick out the most helpful answer. When I 1st started using this, I didnt know u were suppose to pick the answer that u thought was the best, lol.

i'll award answers to the ones that best fits my question. if there is none, i'll choose the funniest. if there's none still, i leave it to voting...
