On my electric guitar the place where you plug the instrument cable (octagon type nut thing) got loose and so a few wires on the inside broke off. How much would it cost approximately to get these re soldered at a shop?

not very much, the same thing happened on my bass, all you need to do is solder it back on which you can do easily enough your self with some solder and a soldering iron or gun. but if you take it somewhere i dont see why they would charge more that like... 20 bucks maximum.

It depend on what kind of guitar wire you have. The ones with the metal jacks are easy to fix. You just cut about 2 inchs from the ends and resolder the ends back the way they were. Making the cable like new

anyone that knows a little about solder can fix this for you. I agree that a shop shouldn't charge more than 20 bucks.

Depends on where you live I suppose. Where I live (south Tennessee) I would expect $20-$35. In New York or L.A. maybe $150
