you can still definately wear boots over skinny jeans on the colder days. when the weather gets warmer, but not warm enough for skirts or dresses on their own, try a funky pair of tights or leggins under them, with your boots.

And I say no, they make EVERYONE look fat.
I'm pretty sure people have gone blind...
remember acid wash jeans of the 90's, and how people look back and go..god, what was I thinking?
Skinny jeans are the new acid jeans.

It's still popular in the fashion magazines I read, so if you like that trend and it looks good on you, go for it! I just hope tight rolling pants doesn't ever come back :P

yea in the outback of australia I still wear boots over my skinny jeans

Sure! Just be sure your boots are thigh-high with pointy toes and five-inch spikey heels. And make sure your jeans are so tight, they look painted on. I'll be following you, grooving on your swaying buns. Wear a tiny halter top, too, please...

It's not out of fashion, the 80's are making a come-back.
I personally think it looks bad, but that's me. Maybe try a pair of slim fit jeans with a small boot cut or straight leg that you can wear over the boots. No one will notice, and you can still look stylish without following the latest trends that change so often. What it is "in" today, won't be tomorrow.
