I think it's depends you know, I've 2 great internet friends for 6 years now and they're very nice and still be my good friends until now. Keep chatting^^

Internet friends doesn't work because the majority of them are not real. It's easier to ditch an internet friend than a real one.

It happens alot, you may not live close and you both start to have different things going on in your lifes and dont have anything in common anymore
