I think it depends mostly on what you need. Where I'm going and who I'll be with (and what we'er planing to do!!) helps me decide if all I need is a purse for just a bit of "refresh" make up or a shoulder bag to carry stuff in.

to dinner or shopping a shoulder bag is great darlin but out to the club stick with the purse. But if it's for church take a back pack for your bible

it depends where you are going. A purse if you are going to be away from home for more than 4 hours, according to my girlfriend.

if ur a forgetful person like me. then i wouldnt carry my purse around, unless its a hurry...
