Obviously, the hoochie that called you wants your friend's husband. Women of that caliber are always trying to jump on "fresh meat." The next time someone asks, tell them to kiss where the sun doesn't shine! Don't let them get you down. Condolences on your loss.

can you give a lil more info?..Did they tell you why they thought that..or did they never like you or something??..after reading what other ppl said above..Are you spending alot of time with her husband or are they just shooting out remarks with no merit?

If you are spending alot of time w/her husband maybe you shouldn't anymore...that wouldn't look cool to me either..even if it is your friends widow.(just think if it were the other way around)
..I think that would be more of a reason..out of respect for HER and for you to protect your reputation.
also..after people lose a loved one....they are mourning..very erratic sometimes...so many emotions..try to understand their loss as well as your own.
If you are not doing what they are accusing you of doing ..then it will die down.
the truth always comes out in the end.

Dont let what others say about you bother you if you know it is not true.God knows you, your family knows you.,.you know you ..and you know the truth..

If someone is accusing you in front of others ..call them out on it and ask why they would think that and why would they try to disrespect you & your friend like that.

take care.
hope things get better..and I am sorry for your loss.

This happened to a good friend of mine. Her long time friend died and less then a month later she was getting accused of "seeing" the husband because she was spending time with him and the kids. Basically, simply say no and let your actions prove it. The truth will come out and they will be ashamed of themselves for asking.

Tell them grieve instead of gossip, and that you have more important things to do than stick around and deal with their immaturity and disrespect for the dead.

You have nothing to explain. You were there for her as she passed away. and anybody that asked you if you are dating her husband is very uncouth and rude to say the least...

Just ignore what people thinks, cause you knows what in your heart and you don't have to answer to people.
