hii u have to try the mobile to call it or if not complaint it to the police station b'coz more than 10000 Rs. cost anythin lost they will find it for us.

First thing Damage control. You have already lost ur mobile anw ensure that its not misused in your name. For this contact ur service provide and ask them to deactivate ur SIM. Make a formal complaint to the police as well so that in case some antisocial element misuses ur mobile u can prove u did not do it.
Secondly, go thru the manual. I think that there are some code assigned to a particular handset so that in case its lost , it can be made useless. May be the person might think of giving it back to you in case he finds the instrument isnt any use for him.

girl..... u gotta be more careful.... i of my friends has that model.... good 1... pretty sad u lost it... waz it prepaid or postpaid... if prepaid ... u cant pretty much help it... if postpaid... contact da service provider n have the sim locked n then have it reported at da police station(although that shouldnt be of much help)... n ask da service provider or teh shop (where u purchased it from) to have the EMP number of the cell traced....... if u have sources n contacts in da police, they will help u out wid da EMP number... i know all this bcoz i have lost my cell also once(it waz a basic lg color model though..... n i didnt even have a sim in it... it waz that new)..... currently i m taking utmost care of my communicator, v3, motorola mpx220, ipod...........cant take chances here in bangalore............u can call me on 09986826593 or 09227444727.... fer more details

Every cell phone has a unique no. by which you can trace your cell from anywhere.
Register a complaint with the local police.
