I want to see if anyone can provide some insight to my dream.

I've had a recurring dream over the last two weeks that my best friend of 14 years repeatedly kidnaps me.

In one she was a cop assigned to protect me and my sister while my husband was out of town. While showing me around her house she hit me over the head while I am not looking, knocking me out. Then did the same to my sister.

Another time she visited me at work and sprayed me and my boss with her perfume bottle causing us both to pass out.

There are others but all involve her knocking me (and whomever I'm with) out in some form or another. When I come to she is usually gone.

We do not fight at all and see each other a couple of times a week. She was the maid of honor in my wedding.

Is there any significance to being knocked unconscious in a dream? Especially by my best friend?

Thanks. JJ

Dream often refelct event of things you saw throught the day so try and remeber if anything in the dream could of come from something you saw or head earlier. Also try to refect on how this made you feel during the dream. The best interputer of dreams is yourself because only you can fill in all the gaps. Dream books also help give more information as well about sybolism in dreams.

Well it is a dream of insecurity, guilty conscience, and proud ego blended together.

Being hit, sprayed or attacked = insecure

You have this sense of proud ego. However, you don't feel insecure having her as your maid of honor. Of course, this comes from subconscious mind. You don't know about it on the surface. Perhaps, this is due to your proud ego. I have a feeling that you may feel that she could feel a little jealous about your wedding. Subconsciously you have this protected mechanism in your mind. You want to think of you as victim rather than her being number 2. You projected this being hit and being attacked by her could mean you suffer from facing your own reality. Perhaps, you care too much about someone's feeling and that is why you dream about you being a victim.

It is a guilt conscience in a sense. No, you have done nothing wrong. But you feel you have done something that is against your own standard. Having married and she is the only maid in honor could be the root cause of this dream.

To get rid of this feeling, you should just be happy about your wedding and do not worry too much about what others think.

you are concerned that this person is deceitful in some way. You first think she is safe and protective but she is not. After the wedding this won't be a concern anymore.
