We are trying to get from Athens to Delphi to Kalambaka/Meteora. We were thinking of renting a car and driving (more leisure), but are also wondering about taking public transportation as an option since it may be difficult to read the signs. I haven't been able to find info on buses or trains that go from Delphi to Meteora. Any suggestions and websites I could look up? Thanks!

Renting a car is a good idea; if you fear of something it should not be the signs as they are all bilingual and the ones written only in Greek are of no concern to foreigners - it should be the Greek drivers, being mindless and negligent, and sheep popping up in the middle of the street from nowhere.
Regarding public transportation... I'm afraid there is not direct itinerary from Delphi to Kambaka/Meteora, but here's the telephone of Kalambaka KTEL (+30 24320 22 432), in case you want to obtain some information (hope you can make it with very few english and much of good will!....).
Besides the site of KTEL, www.ktel.gr, you can also try the following:
www.athens24.gr,
http://www.tera.gr/busTimetable.do;jsessionid=DAB0E49A3118636EE092AC9D55BF9DCA (I'm afraid it's only available in Greek)
www.trikala.net (if everything else fails...)

If you want ot rent a car, you can try www.sixt.gr.

Good luck!

you might also want to consider a travel agent...if they have a tour bus some of the tours are quite amazing. You learn about the history and they take you to places that you usually wouldnt find by yourself
