Maybe not necessarily 'childless' people...I'm 18, and I've been taking care of my niece since she was born. I've helped raise my niece, one of my nephews, and a lot of other people's kids, to boot. I've babysat kids from just brought home from the hospital all the way up to pre-teens. However, I know there's no way in the world anyone can truly know what a parent goes through, but there are those who are familiar with some of the trials and tribulations. Just be patient with those that offer advice and understand that they don't know how inexperienced and annoying they sound to you. Some of them are just trying to help out.

Sometimes people are too close to a problem to recognize it. People without children can be just as observant, sincere, and honest as those with children. All teachers, doctors and child development specialist are parents? I think not!
Obnoxious, unruly, mean spirited, socially inept children are observed equally by child and childless people.

Although I agree that insane advice should nether be given or taken, it is a fact that all adults have been children and therefore have some knowledge of the subject.

I agree. I hate to see when someone ask about a child and someone says I don't have kids BUT...
What is the BUT they don't know anything. You don't know until you live it and we all do different things....I agree with you!
I worked in a day care for 3 years when I was young and thought I knew everything....NOPE I didn't...You got to live it 24/7 âºâº

I see where you are coming from. I have to agree with you on that one. I haven't visited that section because my children are all grown. It would seem that one should have to "pay the dues" to give parental advice!

People can give out all the advice they want, but the bottom line is:
YOU have to CHOOSE to TAKE the advice. No.

Just because one can have a baby does not mean they know how to raise one.
