Yes and No.

Pheromones are chemical scents which have a "communication" effect on life forms. These tend to be very strong for insect and small animals and less for humans, who tend to be effected more by fantasy and imagination than odors.

Since their discovery, many have tried to catch a quick buck from convincing others that they have a sure fire method of effecting human behavior with their products.

Animal scents that attract the opposite sex. It has never been proven that either men or women dispense pheromones, but you can buy "pheromone spray" at most sex shops. It's apparently "guranteed to get you laid." Try it and tell me how it works.

A chemical substance secreted externally by some animals (especially insects) that influences the physiology or behavior of other animals of the same species.


I don't think it works on humans.
