Now Rummy's come up with a new reason for us invading Iraq, since all the other one's have been shot down. Now it's because if Saddam were still in power he'd be "rolling in petrol dollars" because of the rise in gas prices. Wait, isn't one of the reasons they blame on the rise in gas prices the Iraq war? Make up your mind, or just admit that you were wrong to begin with and that Iraq has been and will continue to be a huge waste of time and tax dollars. By the way, this isn't some link to a liberal think tank or propaganda site, this is the Department of Defense website.

Hey whistler.. Do you ever get out? Do you ever read the news? Here's a little goodie from the Pentagon. '"But the Pentagon and outside experts emphasized that these abandoned shells, many found in ones and twos, were 15 years old or more, their chemical contents were degraded, and they were unusable as artillery ordnance.” ' There goes your WMD arguement AGAIN. So any other crazy lies you want to come up with?

ruth... How long before conservatives tell the truth about what will happen if we "stay the course" in Iraq? All we are doing in Iraq is generating a never ending propaganda machine for Islamic fundamentalists to use as a recruitment tool.

PS.. We cannot defeat an enemy that we do not know. The Iraq war may never be won. We are not fightng an army. We are fighting groups of terrorists that as long as we stay there, will continue to be recruited from all over the world. Everyone says that the terrorists want to destroy the US, actually if you read or do any research on any terrorists that has ever attacked or threatened to attack the US they were doing it because of our involvement in another country, ie.. if we keep to ourselves and spend money to protect our homeland and stay out of their business they will leave us alone.

jack w... So Saddam killed how many? One estimate I heard was a little over a hundred thousand. How many Iraqi citizens have been killed since we invaded? Close to a hundred thousand last I heard. So, does that make us any better than Saddam?

Here is another tidbit of info for you who still think things in Iraq are going great(mission accomplished), our own Army is shrinking because of this war. They are having to extend enlistments, recall soldiers that have been discharged, and continue to miss recruitment goals. Now, I know you're going to say they started making their recruitment goals, this was only after they lowered the standards. On the other hand, terrorists groups have no trouble recruiting, especially due to our continued occupation of Iraq.

After Dick Cheney's Halliburton makes a billion dollars. After the Carlyle group and it's defense investors Bush and the Bin Laden family (yes it's true) make millions more off Iraq. After the fire fighting firm with links to Rumsfeld and Bush makes millions more, after they got a no-bid contract for Iraq.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld haven't made the Forbes list of billionaires yet.

By the way, don't let people tell you "we have to stay and secure Iraq or else it will be a safe haven for terrorists".

We already have one, in fact Bush cut a deal with this country, it's called PAKISTAN!!! And if terrorists make Iraq a safe haven (which they already have one) then good. We'll know were their at. Hell we could wipe out a few thousand in one bombing run.

First, I think that even you will admit that the "petro dollars" going to Saddam was being used to benefit the Iraqi people. How many palaces did he have, too many for me to count! Lets not forget the 500 artillery shells filled with poison gas either. And lets not forget Bill Clinton saying that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Oh, yes, and Saddam using nerve gas on the Kurds, what about that or is that just in Rumsfield's imagination?
Or what about the kickbacks between members of the U.N. and Saddam in the food for oil program? How many warehouses filled with bodies were discovered in Iraq? And Saddam is on trial in Iraq now because of????
If you don't like the war, say so and cite specific reasons as to why not. No rational person, especially those that have been there, like warfare. If there was a deception then blame several members of the intelligence community that presented the same information to Clinton and Bush.

They'll never admit they were wrong. Many all still trying to convince the public that things are "going according to plan" in Iraq. So needless death and destruction was all part of the plan?

Lets see here. Saddam invaded Kuwait. Used WMD on his own people(the Kurds). Broke to many UN,and NATO rules and laws that he agreed to to count. Did I remember to mention that they did find WMD in Iraq. Do you ever leave the house? Have you EVER read the news? Are you one of those nut cases that just sits around thinking up the next lie you can tell? Get a life.
