Looks like everyone's been mentioning imdb. I don't personally keep up to date on Hollywood actors, but try www.wikipedia.org
It's a site for learning about pretty much everything, but I know they have info about actors/actresses with updates by visitors to the site and people who work on the website of course.

IMBD.com That's where I usually go. They have everything from goofs in the actors movies to trivia on the actors. Bios and everything.
