Of course it would be in any ones best interest to keep you uninformed. So far for the most part I see a lot of bullpoopy answers.

The government paid most of my school. I am at a lose here. If you feel your uninformed and in the dark then dam, go get a book, Library of congress. Do what I did. I went to school in Europe for 2 years. I love the different perspective other countries have about us. Cant go to school? Then use whatever ver it is your using to write these questions and start educating your self.

For national security it must be understood that an administration CAN not yap about sensitive issues. Mr. Bush has been forthcoming with a lot of new information. But I guarantee you there is more that we don't know. Probably should not know probably DON'T want to know.

I have babbled long enough. But one last thing. Read a few books on Stalin and his Collectivization policies and maybe a book on Medical Testing at the "death camps". Educate yourself.

The entertainment industry learned a long time ago to aim all its television shows at a 10-year-old mentality. Why allow people an opportunity to think for themselves, question information, or form their own opinions? Government feels the same way: keep citizens stupid and uninformed and politicians can get away with anything! It's only an informed, intelligent, skeptical society that truly is a threat to government. The 'fourth estate' has failed the American people miserably be no longer being a watch dog that keeps the government honest. In this day and age of the Bush administration's total control over the media, Watergate could never have come to the forefront of the public. When there is no one looking over the government's shoulders and challenging what government does, we are headed for a totalitarian form of government where power remains only in the hands of a select few. -RKO-

This came from my Political Science Professors mouth. In order for America to gain more power and money... The people must be stupid about what is truely going on, cause if we knew what was going on... We'd probably oppose it.

Look at the media, and the way the public educational system works. While we may learn, it doesnt teach us to think for ourselves, and think crticaly of the world around us.

Heroinglitter is 100% right. If americans knew what was really happening around the world, and especially, if they could see it firsthand, they wouldnt never allow things to continue the way they have.

Only the Neocons want you to be uneducated, I have earned my PHD already. Neocons have a negative effect to logic, and are very entertaining as comedians. Alcoholism and drug addiction behaviors are all I can see on this web site, so don't take their remarks to seriously.

I totally absolutely believe it is in their best interests to keep us like sheep. That way we will believe everything they say, fight their wars, buy their stuff, take their pills, pay their taxes, and be afraid all the time just like they tell us we should be.
