I am open minded, but often times, very stubborn. I hate to lose, and usually just drag out arguements, even if I'm sure I've lost.

Being open minded is like being an empty glass.
Only when you allow the liquid (or knowledge) in your glass (or mind) then and only then will you acquire that knowledge.
Yes, I believe I'm an open minded person.
Being a closed minded person is being ignorant of the knowledge out there to acquire.
Without knowledge, you don't grow.
You don't grow, you die.
Dust in the wind, without acquiring knowledge, is a waste of existance.

yes...because negative thinking gets you nowhere....you can be open minded without being swayed to ....just because you are an accepting person does not mean you have to experiment in everything that is presented to you ....you can still hold on to your values without dogging out other people what what they think and do. I like dealing with all kinds of people and viewing the cultures of everyone and being able to appreciate people for the individuality that they can bring to a group ...the special qualities that are theirs alone.Its a beautiful thing.

Ewe betcha. It takes waaaaaaaay too much negative energy to be narrow-minded, bigoted, racist and a hater. Be lazy, chill, loving, non-judgemental and positive.
By and large, the San Francisco bay area is filled with open- minded peeps. That's why I love living here. In certain places here a guy or gal could walk into a room wearing only combat boots, g-string and single strand of pearls and have someone inquire, "Honey! Aren't you overdressed today?"

I am an open-hearted person meaning that I love or like everyone and will befriend anyone who treats me with respect. I would like to believe that I am open-minded but I know that although I have homosexual friends, as a Christian I don't agree with their life-style choice.

Yes, I'm open-minded because I don't like limiting myself to what I know, or what I am surrounded by. You have to be open to learning about everything out there, otherwise you are just missing out.

I can be open minded, until someone tries to FORCE their ideas on to me. I will listen and I am patient, but if they tell me that their way is the only way, then that is when my mind becomes closed and I will refuse to listen to anything they say.

On some things I am. I believe that people are free to believe in God or not but you should be able to back up your position. I believe abortion is something that women should have the right to decide on for themselves. Homosexuality is in a person's nature so they should not be persecuted for their preferences. What I can't stand are people who have their opinion and will not accept another's position. They don't have to agree with it, they should just agree to disagree. I listen to people's point of view, but I do not suffer fools gladly.

Oh hell yes. As a recovering addict the day I decide to be close-minded will probably be the day I use again! Not a pleasant thought!
