Complexities of life? How does that prove or disprove the presence of a supreme God? I'm not an atheist, but have to respond to the question.

I have found it to be true, that atheist have more compassion than most religious people. To believe in the Bible is to believe God create people to destroy them, like he got surprised after they turned to be agaisnt his chosen people, in wich qualified them for death.
The very taught is to lessen the power of The Almighty who Knows all.
I don't think that Atheists don't believe in God.I believe that they just don't believe in the one presented to the world by modern and pastday religions. If we could define a more definite power maybe more atheist will believe in a higher supreme power.

The complexities of life do not show there is a supreme god. God is not based on fact or complexities. He is believed only because of faith alone.

I need a better reason than that. I am actually not an atheist - I don't believe in god, nor do I state categorically that there isnt one.

Not enough info.

Further, it is one thing to believe in A god, and another thing to believe in all of the nonsense that mankind has created in gods name. That is, I don't trust the religious texts... I don't trust our politicians and leaders now, and there is less reason to believe in the 'holy' men in history, who had a lot to gain from manipulating their people, and by maintaining women as subservient to man.

So, I would ask you the same.. Why do you believe all of this to be true? I have nothing to prove, but I would like if religious people behaved like Jesus, rather than using words and text to frighten people and brainwash children into their flocks.

because, in short, believing in god is the short and easy way out of actually finding the origins and answers to the complexities of life. instead of just saying god did it, i want to acknowledge the complexities and wonders of science and nature (which, no, i don't think god made; again, easy answers).

not all atheists are alike, so i'm just speaking for myself.
