Looking for a song for first dance at wedding. Dont want anything to lovey or mushy. We been together for 9 yrs, been up and down and things just got better recently. Any ideas? So far im starting to seriously cosider Nirvana, No apologies, or Goo Goo Dolls, Iris. Not that they fit with there words, but at least they are slow enough and I like them.

Something by the Beatles. It's the most perfect rock and roll love songs. It's sweet but not too mushy, beautiful chords, nice lead guitar, great bass line, and dammit, it's George Harrison.

There are sites on the web (do a search) that list first dance songs from every genre. Mushy to not.
I searched them when I got married, but don't remember the addresses.
Make sure it is something you are proud to remember in 40 years.

Oh,oh, I used to think that I would have 'You're my best friend' by Queen. Great song, good for dancing and the lyrics are good. Marriage is having a best friend forever right?
