my guess is its having problem with the fan. This usually happens when ppl dont properly ventilate the bottom of the laptop when using it (ie use it on a bed or pillow) as a result the laptop feels its getting too hot and shuts down. if this keeps happening chances are the fan is blown and needs to be replaced. The reason it takes about 20 mins is because thats how long it takes for the laptop to heat up.

Your laptop overheats and shuts down. the reason of it truly is maximum likely a clogged air vent that forestalls the warm air from getting out, overheating the processor. My advice will be for you to flow to a community marketplace and purchase a can of Compressed Air. when you've it, only blow it contained in the vents till you spot the airborne dirt and mud popping out. yet another extra unorthodox thanks to purpose it truly is employing a vacuum purifier :). only suck/blow the airborne dirt and mud out of there, yet be careful no longer to apply it to the keyboard or you would suck in some keys hehe. If each little thing else fails, i'd propose to flow to a community computing gadget shop and ask them that can help you you open up the laptop and freshen up the cooler. sturdy success

Any computer will do that if its settings are set to shut power off after a period of time without using it.
To fix it, open your control panel, click on "Power Options"
Choose Power Schemes.
Choose Portable/Laptop
Choose Turn Off Hard Disk.......NEVER
Choose System Standby..........NEVER
Choose System Hibernates.......NEVER
Just Click on: "Power Options" Take it from there.
If this doesn't help your laptop may be fried.

Could be heat or battery or spyware etc...
go to stopzilla.com and download a free trail version of STOPzilla and it will find all spyware, virus, worms, keyloggers and malicious programs that might be giving you problems.
Good luck,

if you have a MacBook, it is probably because of the Logic Board. it is a common problem with the MacBook, you should be able to get it replaced for free if it is still under warrenty.
