Maybe there is a problem with Internet Explorer, and as an option, download Internet Explorer 7 beta.. (download only if you have a genuine Microsoft operating system)you can do this by visiting Microsoft website. or replays your Internet browser to Opera 9. It can be downloaded to download.com for free of course.

Now. Regarding to the Error: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I had encounter it when im trying to capture movie trailer for the internet, or when a have very number of opened internet explorer windows.. make sure that you're not doing illegal or not abusing your computer's weakness

hope it helps

This happens to me at times, also. Inasmuch as the computer is just a dumb machine, trying to do what I tell it to do, I assume I have given a mixed message or done something that cannot be done.

Sometimes "restarting" clears it up. If not, check all your security settings.
- Some sites require that you allow cookies.
- Are your security settings too high?
click Tools, Internet Options - and check all tabs.

Are you working in UNUSUAL conditions (flying dirt, extreme temperature changes, increased or decreased MOISTURE (humidity) levels) or moving your terminal? With the limited information you provide, it could be caused by a number of symptoms.
Make sure your terminal is operating in as STABLE conditions so you can further isolate the symptom to properly diagnose your problem.

Have you checked for spyware and/or viruses?. Problems with IE are often due to such bad guys on your hard drive.
