People who like to judge others do it because it takes them away from having to look at themselves and see their own character defects. They like to exaggerate because they feel as though the truth in their own lives is boring and they like to make it sound interesting. A lot of times they have exaggerated so much that they actually start to believe their own tales and can no longer distinguish reality from fantasy.
