Raise the bike off the back wheel, remove the back wheel, take off the swing arm, move forward to the front pully cover and remove it, that should allow you to completely remove the belt.

While you have this all apart, I recommend that you grease the needle bearings that are on the swing arm.

The belt needs to be tightened to 1/2 inch travel at 10lbs force with the bike on the side stand.
