Sorry to tell you this, but as a college professor, and a former high school English teacher, there is no set limit to the number of sentences in a paragraph.
Paragraphs are sorted by the subject matter and content, not by sentence amount. Technically, a paragraph can be only a sentence long.

A paragraph is a group of words, which is longer than a sentence. Paragraphs are often made up of many sentences, though some are only one sentence. Don't know what the hell your teacher talking about. Both of you are wrong.

It depends on the writer. A paragraph can be as little as one word, or as long as a writer chooses to make it. It is commonly accepted that a paragraph should be a minimum of three to five sentences.
Paragraph divisions should not be determined by number of sentences, however; they should be determined by main ideas. Everything in a paragraph should support one important idea.
