normal uses more ink. fast and draft take less ink.

Fast Draft mode uses much less ink
I've got a Lexmark Z612, and it's draft mode offers reasonable readibillity

That's a must when you pay round about $90-$110 per cartridge!!

The faster the printer prints the less ink it uses. Depends on your model but fast print or econo fast uses the least ink, but does not give as good a copy
