We have seen America’s president and vice president, sworn to uphold the Constitution, advocating some of the same interrogation techniques the KGB used at the Lubyanka. They apparently believe beating, freezing, sleep deprivation and near-drowning are necessary to prevent terrorist attacks. So did Stalin.

So did Hitler. He ordered the burning of the Reichstag building in Berlin and blamed it on left-wing terrorists. Then of course he ordered the brown shirts to go take out these "terrorists" and who was gonna stop him? They were terrorists! Evil terrorists! Does "youre either with us or against us" sound familiar? Interesting how history repeats itself and very few people pick up on it eh?

The country has been in the process of socialization for over 60 years. Where have you been.

Think about the parts of the US that have a form of Socialism.

Most of us are Insurance poor, meaning that we are overburdened with Insurance for almost everything we have or hope to have.

Car Insurance, If you are a good driver and never cost the Insurance Company anything, it means that you are paying for other drivers incompetence.

If you have Home Insurance, You are paying for someone elses losses. Those are two examples of how we have Socialism that we pay extra for.

We do not have a Dictator, but we might as well have for all the power we exert over our so called Represenatives. It is all Illusion and slight of hand. Remember when this latest Gasoline price gouge started and everyone was understandably upset?
Bush made a speach that was supposed to make you accept it. He went on about going to alternative fuels, and never made one positive comment about what to do about the here and now situation.

Hey! People. don't worry about the gasoline prices, look at this thing over here. (slight of Hand) that fooled no one.

Someone asked the question: What is the difference between Liberty and Freedom?

Liberty is what we used to have 70 years ago, before Social Security and Income Taxes were a reality.

Young men could hitch hike across the country with practically no funds, because they could work at odd job, in whatever towns they landed in. No one can walk around the block now without the government telling them exactly how to do it. And the Nanny laws, Wear a helmet or be fined, Fasten you seat belt or be fined. Try to get on an air plane with your shoes on.

Get the idea. Freedom is what we used to have, but it no longer exists, it is all propaganda now.

I think you see it too. It is called Politically Correctness.

With the way things are going now, yes it is. It looks like we're going to have an anti-democratic leadership at the top, meaning our constitutional rights will be taken all away before we know it! Our rights have been trampled upon in the wake of the 9/11 attacks! PATHETIC!!!!!!

The Soviets were Communists, if anything, George Bush is right wing. I can't comment on interrogation techniques, but in any event, even if they did use the same techniques, that certainly doesn't mean that they share the same political ideals. And I am sure that they don't.

If you're not involved in terrorist activities you have nothing to worry about. So why then do you worry?
A liitle sleep deprivation, a little cold room treatment, and a few swimming lessons are nothing close to the way the barbarians treat their prisoners. What part of b e h e a d e d don't you understand?
Go back to your bong, dork.

The same goes for Cuba. Remember when Bush II said that if you are talking to Al-Quida we want to know about it?(Without a warrant) Well that is how they do it in Cuba. Spy on you and see who comes to your house and see who calls you all without any type of warrant.

What amuses me about the Americans is that they believe their leaders,we in the rest of the world know our leaders are corrupt,self-serving swine, & we can't do anything about it,because all Parties are the same,so we can't vote corruption out.When-ever i hear a politician saying he will do some-thing,i always think he will do the opposite,& 9 times out of 10,i'm right. Please,Americans, don't be so trusting.

Oh I thought you said "Soma-tized" because thats what he and his gang have been trying to do to us for years now. After they try to "terrorize" us into voting for them, they then attempt to lull us to sleep with promises of cheaper gas, lower taxes, and pie in the sky religion.
