Boy, you ask tough questions. Like one of your answerers said, both yes and no.
if you're in a situation where there is no possibility of extraction/he's dieing and will be captured--then yes--BUT it will haunt you for the rest of your life.
I've carried someone 1/2 mile to a helo evac, and I've left someone behind (once-he buried in the mud underwater and we couldn't find him). I've never had to shoot anyone, but, yeah, it's something you would just have to do. I can assure you--there are things worse than dieing.

This a hard call and depends on many factors, so, I have a yes and a no. Sorry.
If it looked like he was going to die anyway, yes.
If, it looked like a good medical team was arriving that would save his life, no.
Pain could cause him to want to die, but, if paramedics arrived and could bring pain under control. He may be glad I did not kill him later.

yeah, i dont see any other option.is all about survival and if i stay behind waiting for him to die i might be next.and wouldnt you?he would be in too much pain,you be doing him a favor.
