Sentence B has the misplaced modifier. The sentence sounds like the dream itself sang like an angel instead of the dog singing like an angel.

The one with the misplaced modifier is B, because with B you don't know if the dreams sang or the dog did. Its pronoun ambiguity.

I suppose the "misplaced" is the politically correct way of saying "dangling". At leat that is what we used to call them.

My answer would be sentence B.

It sounds as if the dream is singing.
