I am having difficulty finding a career path. Getting ready to graduate, but want to enjoy work. Would like to make a reasonable amount of money (upper 50's or higher) but have flexibility and possibly job share (for less salary) - having trouble finding the perfect job? Any ideas? - thinking law / real estate.

My perfect career found me, so to speak.

I majored in chemistry, and after my internship I realized that I did NOT want to become a chemist. However, I LOVED the study of chemistry.

Due to a high phone bill of $90 in the dorms, I had to get a job. I found one at an environmental consulting firm, and I quit after my phone bill was paid.

When the office manager was promoted to a project manager, she called me up and offered me full time work. I said yes, and found that I used more chemistry as an environmental engineer than I did as a chemist.

It's been heaven ever since.

I say all that to say, let the ideal job find you.

I would first try going to college and then pursue a career in law enforcement or real eastate, both pays good salaries. Otherwise you probably will have problems getting a high paying job in these fields unless there are some experience.

What do you truly love to do away from work? Can you combine it with your career?

Some of the most excited fun people I watch working are the employees of Mid America Youth Basketball. They organize basketball tournaments for youth teams throughout the middle part of the USA. They are all passionate about the basketball, and like to combine their love of sports with their work.

If you can find a career that meshes your interests, and your education you're going to be truly happy.

I love working on and playing with computers. So my careers of Network Engineer and Affiliate Marketing are fun for me. Sometimes frustrating, but overall a fun career, that I enjoy going to.
