The same formula used for division, but the result is formatted as percent.

Divide the smaller number by the larger number, if you expect a result less than 100%. Divide the larger by the smaller for results greater than 100%.

Format the cell, by clicking into it and pressing the % button in the percent toolbar, or do Ctl-1 and go to Percentage, choose your decimal places and click OK.

Example: =7/10

The result is .7, unless you format as a percent then it is 70%.

If you do not have it in decimal form (you have 19.45 and want appear displayed as 19.45%):
Go to the cell you want changed.
Click in the formula bar (it is a big blank area after the = sign) where the formula begins (after the = sign) and type ( (beginning parenthesis) and go to the end of the formula and type ) (ending parenthesis) and type /100 (slash one hundred).
Then press the Enter key.
Go to instructions below.

If you already have it in decimal form (to display .1945 as 19.45%), do the following:
Select the cell.
Select Format (on the menu bar at the top), then click Cells... (one of the menu options), click the Number tab, select Percentage and display the number of decimal places you want (example: 2 decimal places displays .1945 as 19.45%)
OR
Select the cell.
Click the % sign on the Formatting toolbar.
