Can I contact other party's insurance adjuster? Or do I have to have a lawyer, if appropriate for me to contact, how do you go about settling claim with them.

I would call a lawyer! A lot of times the other party's insurance adjuster will screw you out of what you deserve. The lawyer doesn't charge you anything unless he wins the case, then he gets a percentage of your winnings. You'll still get more money if you contact a lawyer. Good luck.

I think I would call a lawyer. I bet the other person's insurance will try to figure out a way to cut them loose and not pay. I would want legal representation (unless the insurance company comes to you with a deal you like, then take it, because the lawyer will take a cut).

You can but it depends on the sebverity of the accident. They wil try to bullshit you around with low #'s 1st as they assume that you do not know any better, or what it is worth. A lawyer may get you a bigger amount, but remember, you have to factor in that tehy will take a large chunk of it! GOOD LUCK! SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THAT!
