Res judicata means it's a matter that's been decided already by the Court...and thus isn't open to further argument. In this context, it means that the issue you were arguing about has already been decided by virtue of the Custody Decree, and that the Court's decision and the argument you offered isn't going to be reviewed again by that court.

The literal translation of res judicata is "thing decided"
