I got a fertility monitory by Clear Blue. It is expensive but it gives you a lot of information and takes the guessing out of it. You also only have to pee on a stick . Not like the other methods of testing and temperatures and all that. This is really easy. I have been using it since June and I have a good idea about when I am going to ovulate. And I have very irregular periods.

Most women ovulate 12-16 days after the 1st day of their period. You can also buy an ovulation monitor which will help gauge when you're most fertile. Missionary position is recommended and you are supposed to lay there for a little while to allow the sperm to do their thing. The most important thing is to relax and have fun and have faith it will happen in due time. Good luck!

See a doctor to find out why your periods are irregular, it could be something simple. The dr will do a couple simple tests to rule out some things and will also give you all the information you need on how to time ovulation and so forth. Good Luck!

I had irregular periods all of my teen and early 20 years. I finally went to a medical school (cheaper and willing to try more) and began meds to start my period on a 30 day cycle, after that for three months the doc gave me Clomid to take after I had started. I began with a couple of pills and increased every month until I found out I was preg after only 6 months. Since then I have not had to take any meds for preg. and have had 4 more preg. since that one. Total of 3 deliveries, 2 miscarriages. Call the medical center closest to you to find out where the closest med school is and give them a call.

There's also a really good book called, taking charge of your fertility by Toni Wechler...she's the one that fertilityfriend is founded on. Will help you to know when u ovulate and when u ovulate and if the length of your cycle is OK, and sufficient amount of time between ovulation and implantation. We used the methods to get pg and to space our 2 girls. Good Luck. Awesome book!

I had rather irregular periods also and my husband and I tried for a few months before we heared that having sex every other day helps. Supposedly the sperm can live that whole time and the sperm count is much higher than if you are trying more frequently. It worked the first month!

i had the same problem. i never knew when i would get my period. or for how long i would go without having one for that matter.
we planned for my daughter and when nothing happened we set up a date with the fertility specialist.
three months before this we went camping, got 'really' drunk and had at it. lol.
the week before my appointment with the specialist they told me to take a test to find out if i was pregnant or not because i had missed three periods. it was not unusual for me to miss three or more months. the period before that one was four months before. well, i was pregnant.
so my advice is get good and shnookered and have lots of fun doing it.
good luck.

My best advice is to see a fertility expert. If you've been trying over a year with no results, it is time. Good luck!

Get the magazine "conceive" it will give you all kinds of tips. Also try getting one of those fertility monitors. They tell you when you are ovulating. You can find them at wal mart.
