"Walk On" by U2...I used to hear it and/or purposely play it alot during the time when I was in medic school. It reminds me of that time period which was a huge transition in my life and something of which I'm very proud....nearly every song I hear brings back memories of someone or something. If I can't remember when a song was popular, I just think about what it reminds me of, and there's the answer!

Anytime I hear any song from Led Zeppelin III, the memories somehow come streaming back.

Thinking how it used to be, Does she still remember times like these?

"Wish You Were Here" Pink Floyd

I was in Italy.......missing my family like crazy. I was having the time of my life.....but so wished I had my family and friends there to share it all with me. So I'm staying at this little monestary. Quiet......so still. And all of a sudden I hear a guitar.......playing "Wish You Were Here." It was right below my window. I open the windows wide and look down and see these people that had made a pilgrimage all the way there and were sitting under a tree singing. It was such a surreal moment. I looked around and just took in the amazing scenery around me...the smells......the sound of the music. I will never in my life forget that moment. (or the song........I've loved it always. But after that moment......it's never going anywhere!)

My "special guy" loved the group YES, and so do I. We met online and became friends, then more. We lived about ten hours from each other. He died unexpectedly last year of a very rare Cancer. This was our song.

Changed only for a sight of sound,
the space agreed.
Between the picture of time
behind the face of need,
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid,
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid,
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you.
Oh.

And you and I climb over the sea to the valley,
And you and I reached out for reasons to call.

"And You And I" by YES

Angie - by the Rolling Stones
Because during summer break from university one year I was seeing a guy that my parents kind of forbid me to see even though I was 21. We were sitting on the porch of the place he shared with a bunch of other students and he picked up the guitar and started playing Angie (even though he can't play guitar) and singing the song, changing the name to mine. It was cute and sweet. I did end up living with him, marrying him, having his daughter and then divorcing him but the relationship was a lot of fun for 7 years.

many many moons ago, the first dance I ever danced with a certain guy (yeah, you know who) was Conway Twitty's Lay you down. Everytime I hear it, I get a little pang in my heart. Not sure if it is a good one or bad one...Maybe a regretful one like why oh why didn't I run? I'm kidding. I think I get more sad such as why oh why did things turn out like this?
You know, I really spill quite a bit to you, Mr. Weasel....

"one step at a time
don’t be livin' on the line
i don’t need a friend
