If your boyfriend will be wearing a tux, wear a pretty cocktail type dress. Overdressed and people will compliment your outfit. Underdressed and people will think you don't know how to dress.

I just went to my boyfriend's cousin's wedding a few weeks ago. I wore a dress and cute matching flip flops....just wore my hair down and kept the makeup simple. Don't over-dress, but you don't want to under-dress either. I guarantee you there will be other people there in dresses as well as pants, but unless you go a little crazy, you won't stand out like a sore thumb. My brother is getting married next weekend, so I'm gonna have to step things up a bit for that wedding, and put a little more effort into it!

I recommend dressing up in a cocktail dress if it's a daytime wedding. If in the evening or at night, you need to wear a formal. Enjoy!

Don't overdo your nails. I know a girl who had her nails done well and the sticky nasty stuff took an eternity to come off. Dress better than usual and if you want to stand out, dress to the nines. Unless your boyfriend mentioned wanting you to dress up, he might prefer that you not dress up much more than he does.
