A.E. Houseman wrote:" Now of my three score years and ten, twenty will not come again, and take away from seventy springs a score, it leaves one only fifty more." Do you think as each season comes around how many left of each you have left?

If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that I'd like to do is to sing:
To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven.

Wasn't it you who said that nothing good's going to last forever, but all our lives we had fun we had seasons in the sun but the hills that we climb were just seasons out of time.

If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Time keeps on slipping, slipping into the future
but as time goes by
You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss
A sigh is still (just) a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by

pssst..I'm neither an old bag nor a new one. Just someone who likes answering your questions. So shoot me.

A.E. Houseman notwithstanding, the greastest quote is, All things shall pass. Be satisfied that you'll be with your departed family members where ever they are, therefor go thou. Your immortality is in your head temporarily.

My dear dancing partner, I really live in the moment. I truely live each day noticing all that is around me,and all that is in me. I know I am not immortal...the older I get the less frightened of this I become. "Life is but a walking shadow. A poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more."
I love my stage and I'll go with a smile on my face.

Every fleeting instant contains sentimentally precious sensory input that I will never get back, and that I will not get to keep. I wonder what other levels of consciousness feel like. We are such crazy little parasites.

Of course in terms of linear time every season comes around. It's linear time. In lateral time, theoretically it's alread come, stayed and gone, stripping the idea of all of its human romance -- who really wants that? I like my human romance.
